Primary Duties of Officers
The duties listed herein are not intended to be
complete. For complete lists of responsibilities of
each officer refer to The Constitution and Bylaws.
PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN OFFICERS:
The primary responsibility of each officer is to plan
with the Coordinating Team the program for the
Presbyterian Women. Specific duties are as follows:
MODERATOR The Moderator is to supervise the planning and coordination of a program for the Presbyterian Women as a part of the total work of the church.
CO-MODERATOR The Co-Moderator will serve in the absence of the Moderator and will plan programs for the Presbyterian Women.
SECRETARY The Secretary will record the minutes of the Coordinating Team and will be responsible for all records, correspondence and publicity of the Presbyterian Women.
TREASURER The Treasurer will serve as chairman of the Finance Committee and will handle all monies.
HISTORIAN The Historian is to record the history of the Presbyterian Women annually which shall be completed and mailed by February 1st.
CHAPLAIN The Chaplain will plan devotionals for Coordinating Team and Gatherings of Presbyterian Women. She will advise the Circle Moderators of ways to extend and deepen the fellowship of the Circles.
Primary Duties of Circle Leaders
CIRCLE MODERATOR (Active Circles)
1. The Circle Moderator is to help her circle sisters grow spiritually and develop in Christian service.
2. She is required to attend all Coordinating Team meetings. If she cannot be present, she should delegate someone to attend in her absence.
3. She shall submit a report from the Secretary, Circle Co-Moderator and Pastor’s Aide at each Coordinating Team meeting and shall present an oral report concerning the activities and needs of her circle.
4. She shall keep her members informed of any information relative to upcoming activities, changes and additions/ deletions on the circle roster and so on. (In the event of the death of a member of the Church, the Pastor’s Aide of the Church will contact the Circle Moderator who will activate the calling committee to inform all members.) The Circle Moderator shall oversee preparation of a meal for the bereaved family if in a Circle (or as instructed by the Moderator).
